Public opinion

I find it fascinating that when it comes to issues like Canada's role in Afghanistan or climate change, the PM couldn't give a hoot about polls and public opinion. But now that the topic is the survival of his government, the polls (especially biased ones that evoke "fear") are suddenly reflecting the will of the public and ought to be heeded.
